LET GOD WRITE YOUR STORY

I recently watched the movie, "I Still Believe", and it just reminded me of how great and wonderful our God is. It reminded me that God has a plan for each one of us, even if we may not understand it. We may not understand why we lose some people too early in life, or why we don't get the opportunities we want in life. This movie gave me hope, and not unrealistic hope that movies usually give you, but pure hope. I remember watching YouTube videos about letting God write your love story and it is beautiful. When you allow God to write your story, you will learn that your whole life is God's love story.

When you let God write your story, you stop worrying about what tomorrow will bring...you stop worrying about your future and even your future special someone. One thing that almost immediately stood out to me in this movie was that when you live your life completely for Jesus and you continuously strive to please and praise God, he brings along someone who is running the same race you are. I want that kind of love. I want someone who is going to love me the way Jesus loved the church. I want a God-fearing man and a man who chases God with his every breathe. I realize that in order to attract someone like that, I need to be someone like that.

A lot of the time we want someone who is everything on our lists... a lot of the time we want someone who is better than we are. Truth is when you start focusing on yourself and moving into the best version of yourself that you can be, you not only start to realize what you do and don't deserve, but you also attract the people who are doing the same. When I thought little of myself and didn't believe I deserved God's love and mercy, I attracted some of the most amazingly talented narcissists. I have said it before and I will say it again, you will only be loved properly by a partner who has Jesus as his or her no.1 in their hearts.

I truly want to see what my life looks like when I let God take the wheel completely from me. I have been gripping my life so tightly in my own hands and so scared to let go even a little bit. For the longest time I thought that I needed to have complete control over my life. I only relied on myself to make money and for a long time I didn't invite God into my workplace. When I did start inviting him into every aspect of my life, wow! Did I see things change 360 for me? It was insane... not only was I making more money and getting promotions, but God always came through, He always gave me exactly what I needed. What was even more amazing is that I started finding more and more people that I could help around my workplace and among the friends I made. God works in mysterious ways.

My friend asked me for some advice (I was flattered), but she was concerned about a video she saw... She had watched a video on Christian bands being corrupt, or something like that, and worried that she wasn't listening to the right music anymore because of this. I gave her some advice, but it was only my opinion, I could very well be wrong, but I felt God speak to me. He told me that he can speak to us through, not just Christian music, but through any kind of music, through anything actually. He takes the bad things and uses them for good. He brings new wine out of them. I told her that it didn't matter what happened behind the scenes of the music, but what she felt when she worshiped God through singing those songs. It is amazing how God can change something that is corrupt and make it good when you just invite Him into it. This goes for relationships, friendships and even families. God has the power to work miracles.

When you let God write your story you begin to see yourself as he sees you. God says that you are BLESSED, you are CHOSEN, you are ADOPTED, you are REDEEMED, you are FORGIVEN, you are SEALED, you are LOVED and you are SAVED.
